Reading time

Love what little kids learn by observing...☺ Love her chattering sounds as she goes  through her upside down book! Enjoy!

Camping at a ranch

We finished our eventful camping trip with a couple nights stay at a ranch near Kamloops followed by the long weekend camping at Logan Lake.  We found this ranch a bit by accident, and it was a GREAT place to stay and to relax!  They had 4 small cabins that were also for rent, a nice playground area with grass, a firepit, 4 camping places, and best of all...
animals!  Horses - almost 100; llamas; goats as wide as they were tall; dogs, chickens; and a few more creatures.  When we arrived, a couple horses were mowing the lawn with the goats.  We hadn't told the girls where we were headed as we weren't sure what it would be like, but at one glance, they were hooked!  :)

Our campsite.  Amazing views!
We were free to explore the barn at anytime, and we met many of the horses.  All except 2 were given to the ranch for various reasons and were taught how they were expected to behave.

Facing off with the llama :)
The BEST reaction ever - Lana and the horses got along fabulously!  This horse would push Brian out of the way to try to reach her :)

The goats were always aware when there was food being served - this porky one enjoyed a few of our marshmallows before we stopped him!
A horse named Tara!  So many giggles about that as our favourite babysitter is Tara :)
And a RIDE - first a mini lesson, then off down the trail :)

A few last pictures to come...seems like awhile ago already, but I'm determined to finish this amazing trip on here :)
