Our first craft fair

Sister Made is getting ready for our first craft show, this weekend at Sardis Elementary school.  We've been crafting up a storm.  Below are a few of the items we'll have for sale, as well as handcrafted cards for every occasion, many other home decor items, including canvases, frames, wreaths, yarn balls, vases and more.  Come and see us at the shopping fair between 9 and 2.  Entrance is a donation to the food bank!

Enjoy your day :)

Sunshine

With the glorious sunshine the past week, we've enjoyed our ever changing view.  With the rain today, I enjoyed my indoor 'sunshine,' compliments of a dear friend.

God and God alone
Created all these things we call our own
From the mighty to the small
The glory in them all
Is God's and God's alone.

The rascal

The sunshine gave Brynlie and I a reason to get out and go for a walk.  While we didn't go far, we enjoyed checking out our tall shadows, playing shadow 'ouch', checking out the snow-covered peak of Mt Cheam, and just basking in the golden light!  I caught some cute shots of her before she did a faceplant on the sidewalk :S.  Her character shines through - she is our 'turkey-rascal' as she sometimes calls herself!  Our littlest blessing is sure a special one :)

My favorite - can you HEAR the 'cheeeeeese'? :)

Hope your day is a wonderful one :)

Formal Day

She was beyond excited as she dressed for school today.
No uniform.
A fancy dress.
A crown braid.
There were sparkles in her eyes.
And blush on her pale cheeks ;)
And off she traipsed.
In rain boots and the dress.
I didn't get a picture of that, sorry!
I lifted her onto the bus, as we realized the dress was longer than I remembered.
When she returned, she was lifted off the bus by her favorite babysitter and I laughed out loud :)
Thanks, Tara!
She informed me that she had to hold her dress up when she ran in the gym, and when she went to library.
I can only imagine how much holding this dress required over the course of a half day of school.
But she was still enjoying it.  Until she'd been home for 2 minutes.
"Can I take this dress OFF now?!"
Enjoy the pictures :)

Leavenworth

We enjoyed some family time in Leavenworth, Washington over the Christmas break.
The amount of snow that we saw was incredible - the locals hadn't seen this much snow in one big storm in years!  Look on each side of the road - it was higher than the van!

We enjoyed
sledding
shopping
swimming
snowball fights
and the beauty of the scenery :)
Enjoy the pictures!

A bit of air time...

an old-fashioned toboggan ride - thanks, Auntie Krista, for lending us this one!
 some flying snow...
sleeping without moving - sledding is hard work :)
The beautiful lodge from where our sleigh ride began

 Gorgeous snow scenery
 Here comes the sleigh!
A chuckwagon stop for apple cider
Visiting a retired sleigh horse, 'Buddy'
The town was beautifully decorated - by day

and by night

Of course, a stop at this doll store was enjoyed by all 3 of us girls :)
And a few more pictures of the lights :)

A wonderful time together :)  One more sledding post to come soon, hopefully.
