of mountains and munchkins
Happy 50th birthday to Brian's Mom! We had a delightful time on Friday setting up the church hall, then enjoying pizza and gift-giving, then enjoying the company of her friends and family who joined us. Too bad such big birthdays don't happen more often! :) Carolyn and Brody even managed to surprise her by returning about 10 days after they left - a great delight to all. Extra snuggles with Clayton are always enjoyed too.
A couple of pictures from last week.
We had company over for dinner - so nice that these 2 get along so well (in general). Here Breyden was drawing/tracing Chelsie's hand :). PS...Like her 'nap hair'?

And the view from my kitchen window...it's just a peak, but I LOVE this mountain and am thrilled to be able to see it since we built our new shop and took down the old one.
Enjoy your week! Mine's a busy one!

Sunshine in January
A few moments...
Watching US vs. Canada hockey with Grandpa for a few minutes...I nicely shared my chairs with him (poor Grandpa, perched on that tiny thing!)

Reading books with Daddy before church...

'Helping' Daddy with the dishes...

Mommy started a Bible study, so I wanted to study my Bible too.

And what is a beautiful January day for if not to take some time in the sunshine?! It truly felt like spring as we filled the wheelbarrow, picked up sticks, got dirt on everything, and enjoyed our time outside!
(notice the full wheelbarrow - someone WAS working!)

"Hi Mom!" PS...Hey Gramma, I still love this "bike-icle."
And a quote from the other night at church. We brought Chelsie's Grandpa to the airport last week as he headed for Malawi. He told her that he was going to see lions there. Last night at church, she saw my mom, alone...and put it all together. "Hi Nana! Only Grandpa went to see the lions!"
Enjoy your day and this sweet smile...

Princess
A thrilled little girl was given a princess set complete with shoes from her friend Breyden for Christmas :) Here she was proudly shuffling in her high heels...which we've decided are easier on carpet than our hardwood!
Off to Seattle today to bring my dad to the airport as he heads to Malawi. Enjoy your day!
