Today...

I love stroopwafels! Our first attempt at making our own...a learning curve for sure :)

And I love playing in snow, but maybe not quite as much as Chelsie did today!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. It's been a busy December, with much to be thankful for...
~several family birthdays including Auntie Jody's and Oma's and my own
~finishing and printing our new family calendar in time for Christmas
~a day of building a new garage for Auntie Jody...it's coming along nicely (sorry, no pictures yet)!
~a few days away to Big White with Brian's family for skiing, sledding and lovely family time
~enjoying extra special time with Carolyn and Brody, and meeting sweet little Clayton for the first time
~a Terpstra Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve
~a quieter Christmas with my family at Mom and Dad's
~an evening of supper and silliness on Boxing Day with dear friends
So a lot went on...A few pictures of the highlights :)

Some monkeys over for my birthday :)
In the snow at Big White, meeting the horse with Gramps
A hug for "baby Cayton" - he's too cute!

Yummy little man!
Shelly and Dad skiing down the hill on the most beautiful day!
Some of the beauty of God's creation we were able to enjoy - pillars of snow and a gorgeous blue sky!
Icicles which grew longer daily

Several sled rides were thoroughly enjoyed!Christmas Eve...checking out the new calendar

New pajamas from Oma :)

Giving Buddy a ride on her new sled

Alright, some long overdue pictures...I have more coming - especially of our family bowling evening - quite a highlight :) These are a few of my pictures from November and December..

A windy night in November caused this...I was amazed by the glass - it was completely flipped and resting against the post - otherwise it might have been in the shop! (and it's NOT light!)

A story from Uncle Dave...notice how 'baby' is also listening?

A visit from some cousins...A cute trio :)

Auntie Jody's birthday...Dad built her a cardboard garage to demonstrate what we're going to do for her on December 19 - build her a new shop :)! She was surprised and excited!
A birthday picture with nieces, nephews and one great-niece

I visited Charlie's Chocolate Factory in Burnaby looking for chocolate molds. They have a small chocolate river in which the chocolate goes around and around...it's been the same chocolate for 13 years...yummm :P And despite that delicious thought, we still spent all day this past Saturday making chocolates...Some small 'helpers' Hours later still working hard.

And some of the finished product...
More to come...

Yes, it's been awhile, but I'm back. Sorry for the no-blogging time! I've been busy and am very thankful for the new computer. We bought a Dell again, but I was very unimpressed with the SLOW arrival and many delays of the thing...Anyway, we're back up and running. I can't seem to upload to the sound clips I wanted to, but I'm hoping to get some overdue pictures up here next week.
Enjoy your weekend!

sniff sniff

So our computer has died. The new one has been delayed several times and I'm VERY impatiently waiting for it to arrive. Once you're without a computer, you realize what it all does for you - source on information, radio/CD player, phone book, map, and MAJOR communication device! So I'll be back hopefully within a week, but until then...enjoy your computer! :)

I saw a sign at the craft market yesterday which was applicable..."Smash face on keyboard to continue".
Have a blessed Sunday.

Align Center
I'm still around...but the computer's been giving us some serious grief with turtle/aging issues...I read a joke the other day which applies here...
A man brought his computer in to be fixed and returned home to tell his wife this:
"When I gave my computer to the techie, he looked at me as if he worked in a gun shop and I'd given him a musket from the Civil War! In just 2 years, our computer's gone from cutting edge to Amish!"
So yes...a new computer has been ordered and I'm impatiently waiting for it's arrival!

A couple of pictures from the last weeks...
Daddy's home!!

Dancing with Grandpa :)

A special time with friends - Ladies Retreat at Camp Hope

And some pictures of a precious little girl in a beautiful season...
enjoying the leaves...

We 'found' this neat blue picnic table and had fun taking pictures for a bit...

"Hippo" kept Chelsie entertained while I snapped away :)

My favourite...a contrast of colours :)

Enjoy the day, wherever you are!

Happy birthday...

to one who would prefer to remain anonymous. We won't mention names or ages, but we will say it's a round number...and we really enjoyed our time in the park together a couple weekends ago! Hope your day is happy :)
