Saturday morning, Dave, Melissa, Marinus, Brian and I hiked up Mount Cheam. Only Brian and Dave had done it before. We left early - 5:30 to beat the Saturday rush. We started hiking just after 7 and had the mountain completely to ourselves as we were the first ones out. It was a beautiful day for hiking. The clouds cleared off the mountain top by the time we arrived around 9:30. It was bitterly cold and windy at the top, but we stuck it out for awhile and enjoyed the view with our 'lunch'.
The view of Doghead / Lady's Peak up close :) The clouds movement was amazingly beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice!
The view :) - well worth the energy expended. Although we couldn't see past Abbotsford, clouds were not a problem.
On top of the world!

We noticed how small we were in the vastness of God's creation.
As the boys looked for ptarmigan, we enjoyed our hike down, taking pictures and checking out the flowers. On the way down we counted the people we passed...final count for the day - 117 people (hiking - not including those still driving up), 2 dogs, 2 bears, and a chipmunk!
