A few hours of driving and a couple days in...we were in Clearwater where we stopped to enjoy this moose (sadly the only moose we saw on our trip - my big hope!)
We camped along the north thompson river - quite a beautiful spot!
We did some hiking and enjoyed some amazing waterfalls!
We got to stand at the brink of this one - hard to hear each other!
Our three little troopers :D
And we carried on from there...for a short ways. Until the truck refused to move any further. We got to experience a tow truck ride...
and camping beside the automotive shop in Valemount.
Some were quite cheerful despite the predicament...
and we got to explore every inch of the small town. The creek was FULL of spawning chinook salmon, fascinating to watch!
After a couple days of attempting to get the truck going with the help of the mechanics, we realized it wasn't happening. We contacted dealerships both east and west to find one that could look at the truck, and ended up heading to Hinton Alberta with it. The Stetson dealership there gets a huge shout out from us - they went over and beyond what was expected/ required to give us a hand at helping our vacation to finish. With the truck towed to Hinton and Brian back in a rented truck from Stetson GM, we carried on our way towards Jasper.
We stopped at Mount Robson - the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies
and were very thankful to make it to Jasper, only a day later than planned!
