Summer so far

A lot of time was spent at the farm.  Berry season was early this year, starting already in June and meaning long hours as many of our pickers were still in school.
Gramps got a Father's Day gift that made the farm name stand proudly at the road!

Dad and Brian had built a masterful sorting belt for us and every blueberry went across this belt and into a box for selling or bag for freezing!

These kids became experts at finding the berries that we didn't want landing in customers' boxes!
This tough guy was loading the berries :)
And some more pictures taken during the busyness..to show you a bit of life during berry season!

Trucks were washed
Krista had a sweet little baby boy and he joined us at the farm in the warm outside air

Boxes were labelled (and rests taken from this
 strenuous job as needed :D

July was record-breaking for heat, and June was hot as well - a few breaks from the work found us here...

New skills were proudly learned

More boxes were built...preparing for big order days

Berries continued to ripen...

and sell!
This berry monster found herself a prime place to sit as these raspberries were brought up from the field by ranger...
"Wide?  Lana?  wide?" as she hoped for a Ride...

and was often rewarded with one :)

The berry stand opened and was hopping busy most days!

Sundays were a welcome break from the work - although this 'rest' time wasn't very successful!

 Thinking she was big..
One of our Alberta orders loaded on the truck and ready to go!
The most rewarding job - pressure washing the shop after a big shipment!
 Canada Day was celebrated :)

And the skelters got a workout!

The kids got rides on every machine they could...

Snuggles were had with the newest family member
Games were played at the berry stand...
and the ranger ft as many grandkids as possible...

More baby snuggles..

and a special helper at the berry stand when the Chilliwack Opportunity Society came for a visit.

More customers to please with fresh fruit...
 another round on the ranger...
 looking for 'grandfather' sized blueberries....
 the two berry bosses :D

and a visit to the hospital to meet the newest peanut growing!  Excited for another addition to the family in November :)

 a cute raspberry...
and a special treat to thank our customers!
A BBQ and pool party complete with soccer game to thank our hard pickers for their work
 Most of the group!
Another successful and busy season behind us - what a blessing!
And a special overnight camping trip with Auntie Shelly to Cultus...one night the boys, then the girls - what a special auntie!!
Many more pictures could have been taken...
many memories of a great summer :)
More to come of life after the berry season!

A couple special events

First, preschool graduation at the end of May...
This special girl is exuberant, loves with her whole self, and was very excited to finish preschool and be ready for KG :)

 LOVE the action songs :D
 The whole group of 24
 A special mommy song

 And a special daddy one
A special friend who she's grown up with
And a wonderful cousin, all soon to be in KG together
2 Special Great Omas who came to see her graduate

Then we have the bigger girl who had sports day...not an area where she excels, but something she still enjoyed, also thanks to the less-competitive aspects of the day :)

 (The daddy run)
Cam twiddling his thumbs in the dress up relay
 Tyler's turn
 And one spiffy girlie!
This one was popular as it was a hot day - the cloth was SOAKED!

And last but not least, our 1.5 year old - how time has gone quickly with this one!  She has to do everything her big sisters do - it's her goal to keep up to them!  I spray sunscreen on them, and she says "Me? Me?"  I sprinkle salt on their eggs and she says "Lana?  Me?"  :D  She's a keeper with quite the personality already - we love her to bits!  Not afraid of much, this one!

Thanks for reading and enjoy your day!

The Landing in spring

There's nothing like a Ranger ride to feel like spring is here and summer is close!  This little girl doesn't remember much of this...but she sure enjoyed this trip up to the Landing!
Bridal falls at it's more humble beginnings

Three littles in the back now - all with big grins!
 Look, Mom!
The valley complete with the sun setting and a hang glider

It was a popular night for hang gliding and we enjoyed watching them!  Once my camera battery died, I was thankful to have my cell phone along!

We watched two land back on the landing, and two others take off

And I got this cool silhouette of Chels as we were about to head down again :D
